Parish  Organizations and Volunteers

The Art and Environment Committee is responsible for preparing the environment in church for the Liturgical Seasons which includes preparing the liturgical spaces for worship. Contact the parish office at 419-865-2345.

Bingo provides a friendly atmosphere that encourages the customer to come and share an afternoon of fun playing a game that all enjoy. A result of providing this service is income that assists the parish in meeting some of its financial obligations. Bingo is played weekly on Thursdays in the Church Basement with doors opening at 10:00 am. There are two sessions, Lightning and Regular. Lightning (fast) bingo is played 11:00 am to 12:50 pm. Regular bingo starts at 1:00 pm and is over at approximately 3:30 pm. Regular bingo consists of nineteen regular games, four specials, coverall, and bonanza. There is a staff of dedicated volunteers that come each week to conduct the games. While some work in all areas, the tasks are divided in two basic parts: The kitchen staff provides a delicious lunch that is enjoyed by the customer and the floor staff handles the operation and running of the games. Parishioners high school age and older are most welcome to join. The Choir is committed to enhancing the prayer, especially the sung prayer, of the Assembly. Rehearsals are held September-May on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm. The Choir sings for Penance Services, Thanksgiving, and the 10:30 am Mass on Sunday (September thru May) and various other liturgical services. Come and sing with us. These two separate teams take care of the church laundry and the purificators used during Mass and light cleaning of the sacristy and altar. Contact the parish office at 419-865-2345.

Counting weekend collections on Sunday mornings and Holy Days and special collections as needed. Volunteers work in teams on a 3 month rotating basis. Volunteers are needed. Contact parish office at 419-865-2345.

Bringing women of the Parish into closer harmony to increase the spiritual life of the women, to help care for the altar and sanctuary and to help share the upkeep of the same. The meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of the month, September-April at 6:00 pm in the Parish Life Center beginning with the recitation of the rosary and a meal. Please join us. The Funeral Choir is a group of men and women from the parish who volunteer to sing for funeral Masses. There is a short rehearsal before the Funeral mass begins. Contact the parish office at 419-865-2345.

Our Hospital Visitors make pastoral visits to those who are sick and share the love of Jesus and the community spirit of the parish. Ordinarily, this is a non-communion visit. Hospital visitors are positive, good listeners and in most instances share prayer with the patient and/or visitors. Contact the parish office at 419-865-2345.

The mission of the Men’s Club is to build stewardship and brotherhood among each other for the good of the parish community. The Men's Club also provide financial support for our co-sponsored school, St. Benedict,  and church through fundraising activities throughout the year. Contact the parish office at 419-865-2345.

Prayer Intention Book

Parishioners are invited to write their prayer intentions in the Prayer Intention Book kept in the back of church or to call the Parish Office with their requests for prayers. Contact parish office at 419-865-2345.

Knitters and crocheters of all skill levels, ages, and gender are welcome. Prior experience is not necessary. The ministry's message of caring is simple, universal and enduring. The creation and presentation of a prayer shawl, like all acts of generosity, enriches the person who creates the shawl as well as the recipient. The ministry meets twice a month in the Lourdes Room.
